It has been many years since I first thought of bringing art to kids until now that Kiddos Art Party is up and running. I’m very happy to be a part of a community that shares a desire to provide a creative outlet for children and anyone who is interested in creating art.

 

Like most kids, I enjoyed drawing and all types of art. I recall making a bracelet by linking together the springs from wooden clothes pins, and proudly wearing it to school one day. It was then that my third-grade art teacher noticed I was sporting my new shiny bracelet and said to me, "You’re going to do wonderful things in art someday". I remember how my heart filled with joy, just from hearing those few words.

 

I believe this is the time to accomplish those wonderful things in art, my teacher spoke about. A point in time where I can make an impact on how kids, and adults alike, see art and how it relates to them individually. I find it interesting how those few encouraging words stood with me all of these years! In retrospect, I've come to understand how a kind, encouraging word can make a difference in anyone’s life, most importantly children.

 

I'm excited in assisting kiddos of all ages create wonderful memories through art, and to see first hand, the smiles as they put the finishing touches on their awesome masterpieces. Let's make art!
